In my school, for the last year I’ve been involved in developing our Pride club using the Just Like Us Pride Groups programme. So a couple of weeks ago, I was honoured to be asked a guest on the Pride & Progress podcast all about these very Pride Groups!
The podcast is hosted by Adam Brett and Jo Brassington, who together have written a book called Pride & Progress. The other guests in the episode I took part in were Frankie from Just Like Us, Edel Cronin and Lois Nethersell-Wehh (authors of upcoming book The Secondary School Guide to Pride).

In the episode we discussed everything to do with creating and sustaining student Pride Groups. We explored the logistics of starting a group, and how to navigate some possible barriers to sustaining one. It was a really insightful discussion packed full of tips and advice from experts. I’d really recommend tuning in, particularly if you’re an educator who already runs some sort of inclusivity club, or you’re thinking about starting one!
